The Envirocycle Compost Tumbler.
"These composters used to come in green or black. The new models for 2010 look like the image to the right."
After some searching we finally found what we believe is a good composter. This is not to say that we feel there is no better composter available. What we mean is, for the money you can spend, these compost tumblers are a great value. They live up to the claims of the manufacturer and they don't cost very much compared to other dynamic composters (ones that have moving parts). The base has rollers in it for the round top to spin on easily. I have had mine for over ten years and it's still as good as when I bought it. They are trouble free.
These compost tumblers have a collection tank as the base for collecting compost tea. Set the envirocycler up in the air a little on a couple of concrete blocks or suitable sturdy stand and you can hook a hose up to the drain plug or drain it directly into a jug, replacing the cap after you drain it.
Mix the compost "tea" with water at 1 ounce to a gallon or three ounces to a gallon and you have your own compost tea for fertilizing garden pants and house plants. Store the extra in a cool place like a basement or closet and it lasts a long time.
